AYAKAMBO acknowledges the Indigenous Peoples of the Amazon rainforest as the original and continuing custodians of Kambô and their plant medicine traditions — ;a living inheritance, held in relationship with the forest, transmitted through lineage and ceremony across generations. Their knowledge forms the true origin of all practices later carried beyond the forest. We pay respect to their Elders, past and present, and to the lineage of hunters and knowledge-keepers who preserved this practice with discipline and purpose. AyaKambo acknowledges the Indigenous and ancestral peoples of the world as the original custodians of the earth's medicine traditions — plant, animal, and elemental intelligences cultivated, protected, and transmitted across generations through ceremony, initiation, and living relationship with the natural world. We pay our respects to the Elders, knowledge-keepers, and lineage holders of known and unnamed lineages that carried this knowledge across continents and centuries, past and present.
*adapted in spirit from the Australian practice of acknowledging Traditional Owners of the Country, but applied here to the medicine itself.
